Guinea pig game G-Force

I get commissions for purchases made through the links in this post, at no cost to you.

Besides cats, guinea pigs are also my favorite animals. This is because I had a guinea pig when I was a teen. Sadly there aren't many guinea pig games out there, but there is one notable exception.

A game called G-Force, where you play as a guinea pig. It is available for Playstation 3, Nintendo DS and PC. The game is based on a movie of the same name. I watched that children's movie only because of those guinea pigs. When I realized there's also a game, I bought it for PS3 from eBay.

The game itself is rather cruel and difficult. Those poor guinea pigs keep dying again and again, and for me it is no fun. Personally I prefer more relaxing games. Like Goat Simulator? In G-Force you have to fight for your life all the time.

Originally I planned to play G-Force through only once, but I got hungrier (for trophies). On the third playthrough I reached my goal: All 50 silver discs and fully upgraded guinea pig. I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough money for everything in the end, but finally I had even 7000 extra. I had read online that many people have run out of money. One disc I couldn't find at all, but in these cases I always outsource, so my spouse to the rescue.

Because of G-Force I was traumatized especially by electric razors. Out of all the enemies in the game I hate them the most. It didn't help that they were shown in almost every commercial before Christmas. Other enemies I hated were flying alarm clocks and vacuum cleaners. Because of the latter I think I lost my chances to get the trophy which requires 80% hit ratio. Oh well, I'm such a lousy shot anyway so it was not gonna happen.

Overall I have to say that if you are looking for an easy and cozy children's game, then G-Force is not for you. This game is leaning towards being true survival horror.

Here's a gameplay video of G-Force, with full game walkthrough:

Do you know any other games where you can play as a guinea pig? Please let me know in the comments.

PS. I also like Eddie Murphy's movie Dr. Dolittle a lot because a guinea pig has such a big role in it.
