Crime boss cat in GTA Online?

News broke about yet another update to GTA Online, this time with Michael finally coming to online.

But the most significant bit about this news was the cat featured in the promo picture.

Obviously a very rich cat, surrounded by money, guns and jewelry. 

I will be very disappointed if the new update doesn't actually have a cat. A rich crime boss cat.

 

 

GTA Online: A Safehouse in the Hills update

Coming on December 10, 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC: Prime luxury real estate comes to GTA Online in A Safehouse in the Hills, the monumental new update.

Prix Luxury Real Estate properties come endowed with a full package of special accommodations, including ostentatious Trophy Cabinets, a private Salon, animal Kennels for your domesticated companions, and a new elegant and artfully lit Garage… just to name a few. 

 

 

I haven't played GTA Online in years, because I hate people. But if this update means that I can now have a cat as a pet I might have to download the game again.

But the question is: Can we pet the pets?

First you have to buy a mansion, starting price $11.5 million before upgrades. Then the cat itself costs 15 000.

 

Cats and the Other Lives: Game review (PS5)

I have developed a habit of playing cat games on the anniversaries of my cats' deaths, and also on their birthdays. Cats and the Other Lives was on sale in the Playstation store, and I ended up postponing playing it until the anniversary of my last and oldest cat Kali's death anniversary. And little did I know how suitable this game was for that purpose.

 

 

In Cats and the Other Lives, a family member dies and the family relations are observed by the family cat named Aspen. She is said to be an old and fat cat, who likes to roam around the mansion. She of course likes to do cat things, such as scratching furniture, being afraid of water, chasing mice and dropping things off from tables. 

 

 

This game addresses some dark and depressing themes. What secrets and tragedies are hidden in the Mason mansion's past and present? Something even more sinister than hemorrhoids? Possibly. 

 

 

There are some more difficult minigames in the game, which I had to try many times. I hate having to repeat sections in games. I also had some problems with the controls, and I wasn't the only one.

 

 

 

How long is Cats and the other lives?

This is exactly the question I wondered when I started playing this game. I didn't know if I could play the game through in one sitting. Somehow I assumed that the game would be too long for that, and I was right. My first playthrough lasted for about 6 hours, so it is a short game. And sadly there isn't much replay value. But I did play it again, because I had missed one trophy.

The game is divided into three chapters and three days, plus an epilogue.

In the end the cat and mouse kiss. What happens if you kill the mouse earlier? Surely the mouse can't be there in the end then?  

The game's ending left me worried. In fact towards the end I started getting scared. If you want spoilers you can check out the ending yourself.

 

 

Trigger warnings: this game has dark themes, and not everyone always treats the kitty nicely. At one point one character even kicks the cat.

There are more and more games coming out where you play as a cat. Some of them are garbage, but Cats and the Other lives is not. In fact it is a hidden little gem. This game and its ending stayed with me for a while.

Fallout 76: Brahmin meat location

It was a long and cursed process to get Brahmin meat when you don't want to kill any innocent cows. Unfortunately the animals in Fallout 76 (affiliate link) seem to be mutated and often two-headed, those poor unfortunate souls. So one could argue that getting them out of their misery would be the merciful thing to do. 

We didn't want to kill the cows to make progress in the Second Helpings mission. It took a long time to find some Brahmin meat.

 

 

This quest requires the player to cook a ribeye steak. To be able to do that brahmin meat is needed. No problem, right? Because there are many two-headed cows roaming around the area. But what if you don't want to kill them? 

Cows have a special place in my heart, and I still regret killing them for a trophy in Far Cry: New Dawn. This time I wasn't willing to do it. Maybe I have learned from my mistake.

 

 

How to get Brahmin meat without killing 

If you don't want to kill the cows you are supposed to get the meat from brahmin corpses in the area. But for us all the meat we could find was always spoiled.

So, after weeks of trying, we traveled to Whitespring resort. In its mall resides a vendor named Marie, who sometimes has brahmin meat for sale. It's random. So I thought our luck had turned when she did have one piece of meat.

But for my co-op partner, there was no meat. Had I bought the only one available?

 

 

But then a disaster struck. I tried to give the meat to my partner and accidentally ate it! I was ready to ragequit the whole game right then. Like I said, this was a cursed quest for us.

I tried to search online how often the vendors change their stock? I could only find conflicting information.

But then we went back to Flatwoods, and for the first time there was some fresh meat on brahmin corpses. So finally, success!

Cats in Fallout 76?

Yes, there is at least one cat in the game. Cheswick II was seen looking out the window, perhaps waiting for its long lost owner.

 

 

There are some animal and cat items in the game's Atomic shop. Here's just some of them. 

 

You can buy Grey Tabby Cat as your camp cat. You can interact with the cat with commands pet, speak and sit.

 

 

And there are also some other cat themed things in the game, as seen in the pictures in this post. 

 

 

 

Animals in Fallout 76

The animals I have encountered in Fallout 76 so far are: cat, dog, cow, radstag doe, chicken, frog.

 

 

 

Fallout 76 is NOT a multiplayer game!

Here is a warning for those who are looking for a nice game to play together with a friend. 

Fallout 76 is said to be a multiplayer game. In reality it is not. It is a single player game. 

Most the missions and quests you have to do solo. What's the point of having multiplayer/co-op when in reality you can't do missions together? 

If you try do the quests together only the team leader gets progress in the mission. If you want do any missions you absolutely have to do them alone/solo.

 

How to become an alcoholic

It's easy to become addicted to alcohol in this game. Just drink booze too much and too often. Then you get negative status effects when you don't drink alcohol often enough.

Beware though, some foods can cure random addictions. Unfortunately this happened to me, and I had to work my way back to alcoholism. 

 

 

 

Fallout 76: Field Medic trophy

The easiest way of doing this with a friend is to go to a lookout tower. When a player jumps down from the tower they get the critically injured status. Then you can just revive them by pressing X.

Fallout 76 is the type of game I would never play alone. It would be much more fun with a friend if the quests could be actually done in co-op.

My Time at Evershine: Early access is here!

The fans of the My Time-series have been waiting for a long time. 

My Time at Evershine's Alpha test's release date was October 24th, 2025.

Those players who chose to include Alpha access in their Kickstarter pledge can now experience the playtest, and share their feedback about the game with Pathea. Early access is only available on PC/Steam, not on consoles.

 

 

The Alpha is a closed test, so it's not allowed to share gameplay footage, videos or screenshots publicly. Discussing about the game is only allowed on Pathea's official channels, namely Discord.

The content in the Alpha build is very limited, around 1-3 hours of gameplay.

My Time at Evershine: System requirements

Recommended specs for Evershine are GTX 1060 (or equivalent) with 4GB VRAM or higher. Systems below 4GB VRAM may experience lag or stuttering.

Disk space: 14 GB 

The current version of Evershine only supports keyboard and mouse. There is no controller support, it will be added in future updates.

Mafia The Old Country: Review (PS5)

Mafia: The Old Country (affiliate link) is the fourth installment in the Mafia game series.

In the early 20th century, Enzo works as a miner in Italy or somewhere in Sicily. He manages to escape from the mine and ends up recovering at the home of a local mafia boss. But even though Enzo kills hundreds of people for the boss, is he still good enough for his daughter?

 

 

Is Mafia The Old Country open world? 

Technically the game is supposed to be open world, but there isn't anything to do.

I thought this would be an open world game like the previous Mafia games, but I was sorely disappointed. Mafia: The Old Country is a short and linear walking simulator, easily played through in a few evenings. I borrowed this game from the library. There were many reservations for it after me and I thought it would be rushed due to the two-week loan period. But no, I easily finished the game in a week.

If there is even a plot, it is completely predictable. And the stupid knife fights that were used a lot as a game mechanic were of course unnecessary and unpleasant in my opinion. Also, the stupid mechanic that requires you to constantly sharpen your knife is... stupid.

 

 

This game made me hate men even more.

*The ridiculous way Isabella's ass is animated.

*The men who made mods for the game to undress Isabella.

I guess I should learn how to mod so I can make mods for games that undress men.

 

 

And since I already had a hard time with Mafia 2's save system, the question arises: Should I play Mafia games at all?

VERDICT: I'm glad I didn't pay a penny for this game.

Mafia The Old Country: How many endings?

There's only one ending, and it's a bad one. Or so many people seem to think. For me the endings where men die and women survive are of course happy ones. 

There is no happy ending in this game, or of course it depends on who you ask. I had the same experience with LA Noire. Shortly before the end I read the plot reveals. I don't know how I would have reacted to Enzo's fate if I hadn't known about it beforehand.

The player can ride horses in this game. Often you can choose between a horse and a car.

 

 

And there are some chicken, but I couldn't find any other animals in the game.

In my honest opinion: hell no. But maybe I was just expecting too much.

Squirrel with a Gun: Game review (PS5)

I had wanted to play Squirrel with a Gun for a long time, and when it was on sale on Playstation Store I bought it for myself as a birthday present. 

Squirrel with a Gun is an unique and hilarious idea for a game. I'm sad to say that the execution could have been better.

 

 

I want these type of games to be fun and easy to play. Unfortunately Squirrel with a Gun is a bit too difficult for my liking, making it less fun than it could be. It also doesn't make clear for the player what needs to be done, and how it could be done. Yes, I do need hand holding with these lighthearted games.

So to complete the tasks and to be able to progress in the game you are most likely going to need online guides.

If they want to make these type of games challenging, then there at least should be an option to change the difficulty. 

 

 

When I finally progressed to a new area I took a break from the game, and so far the break has lasted for months. When a "funny" game gives me a headache it's not fun or pleasant to play. 

Even the first boss fight ("Father") was too difficult for me, and I had to ask someone else to play that part for me. Just the drive to the underground bunker made me grit my teeth, I had to try many times. 

 

 

I hate the fact that every time you load a save you have to search for a gun again. Also the lack of ammo is not nice. If I want to cause a total mayhem I need unlimited ammo to be able to do that.

The game is also buggy. I had to restart the game right at the start because an item essential to progress disappeared. People even complain that the game never saved, that they always had to start at the beginning. Horrible.

 

 

What I like about the game are the many hats and outfits. Since the first Goat Simulator I have always wanted a hat simulator to be included in my games.

If I had to choose between these two games I would always go for the goats. In my opinion both Goat Simulator-games are easier and more fun to play than Squirrel with a Gun. The latter is also a bit too expensive for its scope and length.

Cat and Ghostly Road review (PS5)

 

In honor of the first anniversary of the death of my white cat Olivia I wanted to play the game Cat and Ghostly Road. In this game you play as a white cat named Yang, who is trying to save the painter who saved its life.

 

 

This game had been on my wishlist for a long time, and now it was luckily on sale.

Cat and Ghostly Road is a point-and-click adventure with some puzzles.

 

 

Cat and Ghostly Road was suitable game for my mindset, when I wanted to reminize my late white cat. The game's themes of ghosts, demons and otherworld were just perfect for this purpose. The white cat even visits heaven. I want to think that's where my dear Olivia is.

 

 

The game has puzzles, and doesn't always make clear what has to be done next. I used this text walkthrough guide to help me progress through the game. Without it the playthrough would have taken a lot longer, and I for sure would have gotten frustrated. As I easily do in games.

 

 

Cat and Ghostly Road isn't a very long game, but I recommend it to those who love cats, and especially for them who have lost beloved cat(s).

The Animals of Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a popular game with lots of content. I had waited for years to play it. I have now spent most of my summer playing this game, and I loved every second. I loaned the game from the library, and unfortunately the DLCs weren't included.

 

 

Dreamlight Valley is a very addictive game. It was difficult for me to stop playing it. There's so much to do. After 180 hours of playtime I finally finished all the quests of the base game. Well, almost all of them.

 

 

 

Disney Dreamlight Valley characters

Disney has so many iconic characters, and not all of them are (yet) in the game. From the start Merlin, Mickey Mouse, Scrooge McDuck and Goofy are there. A bit later Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse and Daisy join the fun. Along the way the player unlocks more characters, biomes and realms.

 

 

What I personally hate that the Fairy Godmother is in the game, but there's no Cinderella. She happens to be my favorite Disney Princess, along with Jasmine and Belle. I'm sure she's going to be added to the game at some point. But is she gonna be free content? I doubt it.

 

 

My favorite character in the game has to be Nala. I must admit that I have never even seen The Lion King, even thought I have wanted to for literally decades. I especially want to see the original version, because there actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas is voicing young Simba. Yes, I used to be a big fan of Home Improvement. 

 

 

Nala in Dreamlight Valley is simply very adorable. Makes me want to see the movie. So thanks to this game I'm finally going to loan that movie from the library, luckily it's there.

 

 

Another adorable character is Frozen's Olaf, I fell in love with him too. That's yet another movie I haven't seen. I guess it would be easier to list the movies I have seen.

 

 

My favorite Disney movies are Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, and characters from those are in the game. I especially love Belle in this game, she's a quiet book nerd, just like me. 

I like Scar's negative attitude towards everything. 

 

 

Among my favorites is also Donald Duck, he's so funny in his anger. And yet also so polite.

 

 

But when it comes to Prince Eric... I want him for myself, so step away, Ariel. I haven't seen The Little Mermaid either. 

That is one thing missing from Dreamlight Valley, romantic relationships for the playable character. I suppose it's undestandable, it would be too horrible to steal spouses of well known and iconic characters. But I got used to romance in My Time-series, and it's hard to be without.

 

 

I don't like the game's latest addition, Peter Pan. I have always hated his misogynistic attitude, or his attitude in general. 

 

Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Cat

Disney Dreamlight Valley is full of animals. From Lion King's Simba and Nala to Alice in Wonderland's Cheshire Cat. This cat is a bit quirky, and likes to cause mayhem and disappear. But I love him anyway.

 

 

 

Dreamlight Valley's Companion Animals

Squirrels (peanut), rabbits (carrots), turtles (seaweed), raccoons (blueberry), foxes (white sturgeon), crocodiles (lobster), sunbirds (flowers that match their feather color), ravens (5 star meals). Those are the companion animals of the base game, and listed after them are their favorite foods. You have to feed them so that they'll become your friends. Then you can choose to have them with you on your adventures. They also gather extra resources and backpack slots for you. 

 

 

There are also some special companions, such as Magic Carpet from Aladdin. 

The DLCs have even more companion animals. My favorite of them is the capybara, I wished to get one.

The Premium Shop also sometimes has companions, including cats. 

 

 

 

Disney Dreamlight Valley Trophies

This game lost me at trophies.

With better/more trophies I would have bought this game. Because of the lack of trophies I only loaned Dreamlight Valley from the library.

With implementing more/lot of trophies the game makers can only win. Every game should have at least story trophies, and a game like this could have soo many trophies. But no, Gameloft chose a different path.

Whenever I'm planning on buying a game I always check the trophies first. No platinum? Not interested. Not many trophies and/or all the trophies hard to get? I'll pass. 

 

 

Still I enjoyed every second of Disney Dreamlight Valley, and wished there were even more free content to play. This is a great game for Disney fans, and for those who love cozy games.
