Anxious Squirrel in God of War Ragnarök

This is one of my favorite conversations in God of War Ragnarök. I guess it's because of relatability.

Anxious Squirrel: I'm back! Don't mind me! I know you don't want me around.

Kratos: I did not say that.

Anxious Squirrel: You don't need to. The boss sends me out the most often, and I know why. I'm unbearable. That's why you hate me.

Kratos: You are not my enemy. You are irrelevant. A stranger.

Anxious Squirrel: So... you don't... despise me?

Kratos: I do not feel one way or the other.

Anxious Squirrel: That's honestly... kind of a relief! I mean... yeah! You are a stranger to me, too! Why should I care what you think?

Kratos: Now you understand.

Anxious Squirrel: Fantastic, Master Kratos! I'm glad to know we do not care about each other! Get bent!

Red Dead Online: 46 idiot free days

I had been playing Red Dead Online every day for 46 days straight until someone finally killed me for the first time.

And who is the person who got the honor? A player on Playstation named FLFIH-. Congratulations, you are an idiot. This person also did some suspicious things, like moving abnormally fast, summoning an alligator next to me and teleporting to my new spawn location.

I had been in cinematic mode when they had killed me and my poor horse. When I came back to play they killed me again, and when I parleyd with them and set up a camp to fast travel to my destination, they still tried to kill me again with explosives.

Well I do have a saying: Assholes will be assholes. And unfortunately the world is full of them.

This is the reason why I hate online games and multiplayers. Because I hate people, and multiplayer games make me hate people even more.

I always play Red Dead Online peacefully, minding my own business, staying away from other players, just collecting collectibles and doing daily challenges. Even now I was in defensive mode. Still there's always gonna be grievers who ruin the fun for everyone. Even now I had to change sessions and the counter for a daily challenge resetted because of that.

I know I was exceptionally lucky to survive this long. Usually I'm killed and hogtied and carried around far more often. So thank you for all the nice players of Red Dead online!

Is Queen Butt Stallion dead?

I get commissions for purchases made through the links in this post, at no cost to you.

If I had known beforehand what would happen in the game Tiny Tina's Wonderlands I probably wouldn't have wanted to play it in the first place.

What happened has to be the most horrible thing ever in the history of the world, and it caught me by a total surprise.

But I must say that the Borderlands games have a notorious habit of killing off their most beloved characters, and making the fans mad with despair.

Queen Butt Stallion is the bestest and fairest being ever to grace the world, and her fate in Wonderlands is a very shocking scene to witness. The one I wish I had never seen.

I had to immediately go online to check if her death permanent and final. Is there any hope for her resurrection? And to my relief I found out that Butt Stallion will return later in the game.

If the answer would have been no would I have even wanted to finish the game?

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a great and funny adventure for the fans of the Borderlands series, but if you don't want to see the death scene of your beloved queen Butt Stallion, I don't recomment it. Be forewarned.

EDIT: Here's a video of the ending of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. SPOILERS!!

Analysis: God of War Ragnarök

This is a short essay I wrote for a school assignment. (Introduction to Video Games Creation, free of charge)

Analysis of the game I play now

God of War Ragnarök

God of War is a hack and slash/beat ’em up game series which began in 2005. In 2018 the series re invented itself with its 8th installment, simply titled God of War. For the first time in the series there are two protagonists, Kratos and his son Atreus.

I had never heard about this game series until God of War (2018). I got it for free on PS5 collection, and still didn’t play it. The genre simply doesn’t interest me. Only after seeing my online friend stream the game I became curious about it (”if she likes it it must be good”), and started to play it in March 2021 .

And then I fell in love with the game. Why?

God of War’s gameplay is mostly fighting against hordes of enemies, which I hate. It also has some simple puzzles, which I don’t like.

But for me the heart of the game are the characters, their relationship and the story. A single father trying to rise his son after the loss of the boy’s mother. The story is heartbreaking.

So even when the genre and gameplay aren’t your thing with the right elements a game can hit the right chords, and make it a great experience for the player.

After some delays came the sequel, God of War Ragnarök, in November 2022. After waiting for the price to drop I now finally got the game in November 2023.

Ragnarök continues the previous game’s story. It has the same mechanics as its precursor, in good and in bad. But for the first time you can also play as Atreus, who is my favorite character. But unfortunately this means some things I don’t like.

I was disappointed that in Ragnarök Kratos and Atreus spend a lot less time together. For me these two games are all about their relationship and their journey, and in my opinion Ragnarök suffers from their separation.

In general this sequel has less of the elements I appreciate in a game, and more of those I don’t like. As I have become older I want my games to be easy, and if I keep dying and having to play the same part over and over again, I easily get frustrated. And in Ragnarök there are many tough bosses to fight. It’s my understanding that this is what majority of the players wanted for this sequel. When it comes to gaming it feels like I’m in a minority in many ways with my opinions.

If there’s gonna be a third part in this new God of War series, I really have to think carefully should I get it. If I don’t want to fight against hordes of enemies, then what’s the point? Even if I care about what happens to the father and son.

And now there are even some nasty rumors that next time these two characters will be in their separate games. So if my favorite aspect about these games will be gone, it’s time to say goodbye.

Breaking news: Red Dead Online

The dream is over. This is a sad day for mankind.

Starting from today, January 9th 2024, there's no more snow in Red Dead Online.

The holiday season is always special to me, because then snow arrives to Red Dead Online. During this time I play Red Dead Online every single day, doing daily challenges. I have to limit my gaming because I so easily get addicted to REO, it's very difficult to me to stop playing it. Hence the limitation to snow time only.

So when the snow season ends the clock is ticking for me. I'm allowed to finish the current daily challenge cycle to the maximum, then I have to force myself to stop.

Luckily now I'm only on the first week of daily challenges, so that means there's still over three weeks of playtime left. I really wish the snow season would last longer. This time it did arrive surprisingly early, and I missed the start of it.

I have been playing now every day since December 8th, and no other player has killed me yet! It's a miracle. No one has hogtied me and carried me around. There are lot less shitheads in Red Dead Online than GTA online, but still this is amazing.

Something strange did happen to me this time around. For the first time ever other players where in my moonshine shack, without invitation. At least 3-4 times when I entered my moonshine shack some other player was there, to my surprise. I don't know if it is a bug, or did these players do something to make this happen.

Far Cry New Dawn: Cattle location

Far Cry: New Dawn is a very grindy game, and one of the grindiest trophies/achievements is Master Skinner where you have to skin all animals.

And by far the most difficult animal to find in the game is the cow. You can't even get a map to show its hunting grounds.

There are only two locations where very rare cattle spawn in this game.

Far Cry New Dawn: Cattle location

The first one is Old Fang Farm. So fast travel there and search for its surroundings.

There are always either cows or bulls, never both at the same time. So if bulls spawn you need to fast travel to Old Fang Farm again.

What's the difference between bulls and cows? Bulls have horns and they are marked as red enemies. Poor cows aren't enemies and are marked with white. And of course there might be some other differences as well, but I wouldn't know anything about them...

After trying this for hours, and only bulls spawning to the farm we decided to try the second option.

Cattle's second spawning location in Far Cry: New Dawn is H.M.S. MacCoubrey Expedition. There cows spawn near the lighthouse.

And already on the first try cows spawned there for us, instead of bulls. So for us at least the Expedition was the better option. For us cow was the last skin needed for the trophy. But if it isn't the same for you, you need to finish the expedition so you don't lose the skin.

I freaking love cows, and having to kill one of them for a trophy felt terrible. I always hate killing animals in games, but this was especially nauseating. I just wanted to follow the cow to some better place...

Funniest game videos

I have watched these way too much and laughed at them way too much.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Jack falls down a cliff, Arthur laughs and says "thanks, kid".

Red Dead 2: Arthur says he's "slightly intoxicated" and that he needs another drink, and then...

GTA 5: Trevor finally gets what he deserves, and he takes it surprisingly calmly.
