Mafia 2 brings a woman to tears

According to public opinion, Mafia 2 definitive edition is one of the worst remasters ever. But can everything be forgiven with one cat? I don't know if there are more cats in the game, I just managed to get a picture of this one before it jumped down from the window.

 

But of course, the most important thing was to take a million pictures of the hat. It reminds me of a certain hat in Two and a half men (but not of South Park's Free hat?).

 

I had played Mafia 2 on PS3, but what shocked me the most was the knowledge that I had also platinumed it. Did I really play the game on the hardest difficulty?

Now the definitive edition of Mafia 2 appeared on the Playstation plus, and I thought it was nice, I'll get something to play. But no. Many things annoyed me this time. I already complained about Mafia 2's saving system.

Firstly, of course, the fact that in the game you have to collect Playboy magazines before it even came out for the first time. Mafia 2 takes place in the years 1945 and 1951, at that time nothing was known about Playboy. Yes, it's annoying having to pick up naked women. And the degrading and ill-treatment of women in the game all-around. Disgusting.

The fact that the game only has an autosave. It means the game never saves outside of missions. Only the collectables are saved, nothing else. In the game, for example, when you have to drive the same car for 50 miles for a trophy, if you die in the middle of it or don't progress in the story, you're back to zero. And also, for example, tunings made to the car are not saved.

But it's actually even worse. With work and pain, I got miles for the car in the middle of the last chapter, and then I progressed in the story so that the progress would be saved. But no. When I got through the game and went to free mode (which is NOT even in the game) the miles were not saved.

That is, all the other trophy things, except for collecting, have to be done in one sitting, because nothing is saved. And if you die, you're back to zero. I've spent far too much time in this game doing things for nothing.

 

Rarely has a game made me so angry and close to tears like Mafia 2. I really don't want to try to get platinum again.

If Mafia 4 was coming, I would probably shit on it.

In other words Mafia 2 is a stinking big piece of shit.

Can you pet cats in GTA 5?

There are cats in GTA 5, but unfortunately you can't pet them. Be very careful though, it's way too easy to accidentally run them over.

 

But the surprising this is that you can play as a cat in GTA 5, and also as many other animals, if you eat some medicinal mushrooms.

 

In other news....

Trevor in a dress during story, and not just after it? It can happen during cutscenes, without any mods.

I prefer to keep my gentlemen Michael, Trevor and Franklin very sharply dressed. It's very annoying that if I leave them for themselves even for a minute they usually change to much worse clothes. Come on guys, I'm trying to stay classy here.

GTA Online: 1st mission failed succesfully? (believe or not, I was actually able to get the car out of there and finish the mission)

 

Don't even get me started on GTA Online, which is a nightmare because the only thing other players want to do is to kill you. Again and again.

I bought GTA 5 three times, on three different consoles: PS3, PS4 and PS5. And for all of those versions I wanted to get all the online trophies. Of course I wasn't succesful in my pursuit, on neither of these consoles.

Trying to do the heists was useless and total waste of time. Either the other players kept dying, or didn't even take the heist seriously. Hey there are still players who haven't been able to play the heists through even once!

And then there was the PS5 version of GTA 5 and GTA Online. I had been looking forward to being welcomed by Lamar to Los Santos again, but no. This time the introduction was different. I was forced to get a business right away, which I did NOT want. So it was a downhill from there. 

After playing GTA Online daily on PS5 for a too long time, I finally realized I wasn't enjoying it one bit. So I quit. Once again, without getting the online trophies. And I'm a trophy hunter by heart.

 

But since I can't stand other people, I have to stay away. And focus on much more pleasant online multiplayer games, such as my all time favorite Friday the 13th: The Game.

Mafia 2's saving system sucks

Warning: Stay away from Mafia 2.

It only has an auto save, which only saves when you progress in the story. But don't think it saves even then. Don't be a fool like I was. 

 

 

I was trying to get the trophy where you have to drive the same car for 50 miles. While doing the last mission I drove my chosen car, so that after completing the story and entering free roam I'd have less miles to go. Big mistake.

After completing the story and entering free roam (Mafia 2 does NOT have free roam) my progress towards the 50 miles hadn't saved. I was back to the same miles I was before the last mission.

 

So any progress you have to do for certain trophies needs to be done in one sitting. Mafia 2 only saves collectibles, and nothing else.

And if you die while trying to make progress...

I can't believe I got platinium on Mafia 2 on PS3. Now on PS5 I wouldn't even dream of it.

Because Mafia 2's saving system is a nightmare.

Why is the child a loser in Harvest Moon: A wonderful life?

I sometimes think people don't really like me...

 

I'm kind of a loser, aren't I? I bet everyone thinks so too.

I like plants. They never betray people.

 

Nobody's ever going to like me... I know it...

 

People like me are better suited for staying in the background.

Harvest Moon: A wonderful life is a boring and very repetitive game. I quit it early on second year, but my boyfriend continued beyond that. He was very disappointed that despite all his trying he couldn't make the child a scientist.

Cat game Stray (PS5): Review

My life as a cat? Finally it's possible.

Cat game Stray was supposed to be released already in 2021, but there were some delays and it was finally released in July 2022.

The ultimate cat game where you play as a cat among robots, Stray has melted hearts across the globe.

At the beginning of the story the playable character cat gets separated from its friends/family. But then it gets a new friend, a robot companion who helps it along the way.

 

An early bug/glitch, where the cat is one with the other.

 

There are cow photos in the game, I freaking love cows. Maybe they were worshipped as gods?

 

Prison Break has to be my favorite part of the game? (because I love the tv show)

 

The most adorable moment in the game, when you can jump to the lap of a robot.

 

Stray is a fairly short and linear game. Unfortunately, the enemies in Stray reminded me of the enemies in Plague Tale, which I hated. Otherwise, I liked the game even more than expected because I'm not a fan of cyberpunk.

 

The ending of Stray left some questions unanswered. Will we ever get a sequel, Stray 2?

Cats in Control (PS5)

Personally I didn't play Control, these screencaps were taken by my boyfriend. This game does have some nice cat mementos, including cat ears for the playable character. And japanese cat figurines called maneki-nekos.

What is Control game?

Control the video game was made by Finnish company Remedy, like the famous titles Alan Wake and Max Payne. The release date for PS4, Windows and Xbox One was on August 27th, 2019. Later it became available for other platforms as well.

Control is a 3rd person open world action adventure game, which has some heavy paranormal elements.

The playable character Jesse Haden is played by actress Courtney Hope, who is best known for her role as Sally Spectra in daytime soap operas The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.

For many fans the best part of the game is the Finnish janitor Ahti, played by Finnish actor Martti Suosalo. If you can't get enough of Ahti, he also appears in Alan Wake 2.
